ORDO VIRTUTUM
Hildegard von Bingen

Twelfth-century mystic and composer Hildegard von Bingen based Ordo Virtutum on her own divinely-inspired visions. This dramatic ancestor of opera depicts the journey of a Soul who must choose between the temptations of the Devil on earth and the angelic Virtues in heaven. The piece will be presented with new instrumental interludes composed by Mary E. Larew who also directs this production.
